The TREK2TUK4KIDS vision is to create a transformational Arctic Adventure that enriches the lives of youth in the Arctic.
May 28th-May 31st, 2021, join fellow adventurers, local community members and youth - for an incredible adventure in Canada’s Arctic that changes lives.
Walk, run, cycle or roll your choice of distance (25 km to 150 km) from the Western Arctic community of Inuvik to the seaside community of Tuktoyaktuk on the Arctic Ocean. Immerse yourself in the Arctic’s unique beauty, learn about the local culture and dance under the midnight sun.
Not a race or sporting event, TREK2TUK4KIDS is a commitment to the future of the Western Arctic.
This 3 day experience includes a dinner event in each community, cultural showcases and exchanges,
shuttle transportation between Inuvik and Tuktoyaktuk, safety support and all the gravel road you
can handle. Your participation also directly supports local youth by funding wellness programs
and enrichment opportunities for students.
100% of proceeds raised by TREK2TUK4KIDS benefits the students of the Inuvik East 3 and
Tuktoyaktuk Mangilaluk schools. All funds are committed to the student wellness and enrichment programs.
Last year $13,550 were raised for the schools! Proceeds from the inaugural event (Walk2Tuk4Kids 2019) helped students from Tuktoyaktuk to travel to Spain to attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference. Students from East 3 school in Inuvik will hear an inspirational speaker discuss suicide prevention.
We want to raise
$30,000 in 2020
ALL PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT INUVIK EAST 3
AND TUKTOYAKTUK MANGILALUK SCHOOLS.
